Available for purchase are kits which include luminary bags, sand and candles to be placed along the curb (about 5ft. apart; walkways, porches, etc. optional) this holiday season. Each week on the Facebook page and POA website we will have a designated meeting location at 10am every Tuesday. Show up when you can. This club is designed to get you up and moving while meeting great people, learning new delicious and healthy recipes, finding out interesting health tidbits, and burning calories all at the same time!
Walk with me is a free club that anyone can join. We will be walking a distance each time ranging from 45 minutes to an hour, focusing on breathing, walking patterns and stretching to optimize the rest of your day. Each walk will take place on the Island and occasionally we will be visiting other parks to walk their trails. Rain or Shine.
Daniel Island is a very active community in fitness and extracurricular activities. In an effort to add programs that are specific to what the community wants to see. Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders FC will make a first appearance in the Carolina Challenge Cup at Blackbaud Stadium, Charleston, SC, February 22 - March 1, 2014. The Sounders will be joined by current U.S. Open Cup champions D.C. United, MLS's Houston Dynamo and USL PRO's Charleston Battery for the 11th edition of the prestigious week-long round-robin tournament.

There will be an asphalt trail repair along Freedom Park behind homes on Pierce Street. The location of the repair is between Blakeway and Barfield Streets. These trail improvements will be done during the Holiday’s so that this does not impact the school. Scheduled dates for the work are Thursday and Friday, December 26th & 27th for demolition work. If weather is unfavorable, the work will take place on Monday and Tuesday, December 30th and 31st. Asphalt paving is scheduled for January 2nd and 3rd. Gardening in the Low country is a new experience for many of us! The Daniel Island Garden Club offers men and women the opportunity to learn about this rewarding activity through speakers, field trips and the exchange of information among its members. Programs are designed to appeal to the novice as well as the experienced gardener living in a house or condo.
Meetings: 1:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month September through May
Place: Sanctuary of Providence Baptist Church ( 294 Seven Farms Drive)
Dues: $15 per year

City of Charleston Garbage & Yard Debris Collection & Schedules - Should you need to contact the City of Charleston regarding your garbage and yard debris pickup, please contact them at 724-7364 or 724-7365.
Curbside Recycling - To sign up for curbside recycling, call Republic Services at 843-873-4810. While the POA encourages recycling, the CC&R's do require the use of approved containers. Please contact Republic Services to purchase their POA approved container for your recycling.
Pool Information - The Pool at Pierce Park will close for the season September 23 and Scott Park Pool will close on October 21. Please remember that we issue two (2) key cards per DICA household at no charge, these keys will work each swim season. Replacement keys for those that are lost or damaged are $50 each.
