Jimmy Bailey, Jr.  CMCA, AMS
Vice President of Community Services 
Jimmy Bailey is responsible for all day to day operations of the Daniel Island Property Owners' Association which includes the Daniel Island Community Association (DICA), the Daniel Island Park Association (DIPA), the Daniel Island Town Association (DITA), and the Daniel Island Architectural Review Board (ARB).  Jimmy has been with us since 2005 and is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. Jimmy reports directly to the boards of the three associations.

Barbara McLaughlin  CMCA, AMS
Manager of Community Services
Barbara serves as a key first point of contact for residents on a variety of issues. Whether it is dealing with a covenant related issue or planning an island social event, Barbara is often the staff person residents interact with when seeking information from the association office.  Barbara reports to the Vice President of Community Services. Barbara has been with us since 2000 and is a native of Savannah, Georgia.

Connie Burbage  CMCA, AMS
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Connie handles all of the accounts payable, processes dues payments, and works daily with the associations' accounting team to ensure that finances are in order. She also is responsible for day to day management of the association office, tracking supplies, monitoring equipment leases, and other day to day assignments.  Connie has been with us since 2004 and is a native of Summerville, South Carolina. She reports to the Vice President of Community Services.

Jennifer Carrigan
Cultural Events & Special Projects Manager
Jennifer is charged with planning cultural and family events that enhance the quality of life on Daniel Island as well as welcome others from the lowcountry to our community. Events are funded by the Daniel Island Community Fund and include an annual Charleston Symphony Orchestra Concert, a Children's Art Series, Park Day on Daniel Island, and many more to come.  Jennifer has been with us since 2006 and is a native of Muncie, Indiana. She reports to the Vice President of Community Services.

Amanda Barnes
Resident Services Associate
When visiting the association office, you will likely be greeted by Amanda. Amanda manages the reception area of the office and assists with a number of tasks.  In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, Amanda also issues pool and boat landing passes and manages Pavilion rentals at Pierce Park.  Amanda has been with us since 2006, and is a native of Wilmington, N.C. She reports to the Office Manager.

Abby Kaniaris, RN
Aquatics Supervisor
Abby manages the Aquatics programs run at Pierce and Scott Park pools.  While her official responsibilities are seasonal, Abby has become a familiar face on Daniel Island throughout the year. She has led Red Cross classes and volunteered at numerous island events.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Charleston Southern University.  Abby has been with us since 2005 and is a native of Anderson, South Carolina.  She reports to the Vice President of Community Services.

Larry Whetsell
Maintenance Supervisor 
Larry is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all association assets, including numerous parks, playgrounds, walking trails, pools, and other amenties.  Larry works daily with our major landscaping and maintenance vendors to ensure Daniel Island always looks its best.  After a long career in the ship building industry, Larry "retired" to Daniel Island.  His retirement did not last long, as he has been with the Property Owners Association since 2002.  While he has lived all over the world, he is a Charleston native.  Larry reports to the Vice President of Community Services.

Dorothy Thaxton
Architectural Review Board Administrator
Dorothy manages the ARB process and coordinates the information flow between property owners, builders, architects, ARB members, and other association staff. With tremendous attention to detail, Dorothy manages a huge volume of communication day in and day out.  A Charleston native, Dorothy has been with us since 2005, and was promoted to Administrator in 2007.
